I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
