It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to hold a record if never given the possibility.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

Whether this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Some will argue the argument supporting championship match pressure. Others can counter with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it's been a disappointing period because it seemed my form was missing at all," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts kick in and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from that point Healy was on her way.

"A chance to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was dismissed her side needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated through the pain.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have postponed consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
