Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
